I'm officially a Peace Corps Volunteer. The last week of training took place here in Kombo (a combination of 4 cities near the Banjul area) at a hotel near the beach. We all had a great time and they made the best of the last luxuries of city life they will encounter for at least 3 months; I on the other hand live here and they all despise me for this reason. They will go up to their sites to stay for three months until we meet again here in the city.
I have a lot of pictures that I hope to put on my picture blog in the very near future. So be on the lookout.
Tomorrow is a holiday here (they just announced that fact today) so I will just kick back on a hammock with a book taking in the sunshine at the beach. Ahhh, the Peace Corps life.
