Watch Out

Mom Disclaimer: If you happen to be a mom, especially my mom, you may want to reconsider viewing this post.

Yesterday, as I was coming out of the supermarket an observant employee joyfully pointed in the direction of a dirt area just beyond the asphalt, which to my amazement I saw this:

Except it looked like this:

However, it didnt just finish eating a sheep like this chap.

As soon as a small crowd gathered the snake became nervous and rather quickly slithered to a mammoth hole in the ground. But it was big and in it's real habitat, something I've wanted to see since my spring break trip to Arizona a few years ago and California before I came here. I would've settled for a regular sized snake, but I guess it was my lucky day. I'll just have to watch my step and make sure I never decide to take a nap in the area.

Okay, David...you are SO RIGHT! I hated the pics but I HAD TO LOOK!

I prayed for you specifically about snakes so watch your step!

Just have to say I'm glad it was you not me, 'cause Rudi and I would've been heading in the other direction, probably tripping in the huge snake hole and interrupting his bros and sisters!

Now that's a scene I don't care to keep in my head!

Now that I look again, squeemishly, I realized how BIG that sucker was!

Geesh...I'm going to have NIGHTMARES!

Where is this supermarket anyway????

Is that YOU holding that circle snake thing on your hand???

Uhhh... is that a rattler?

Cam and 10 of his friends had one of those in thier arms (see blog April), Yep, a bunch of 6year olds, holding a 12foot albino python. The only difference is that they were all laughing and having fun :)

Keep your toy poodle or chihuahua on a short leash. Which reminds me, we had coyotee's out the back yard this morning, they were neat.

I would have chased after it and pulled it out of the hole and broke its head off to put up over my mantle along with the heads of the alligator, black bear, and shark that I also killed with my bare hands.

David, I will be coming to The Gambia with the next training group in July. As a former Rugby player, I'm pretty intrigued by the beach touch rugby. You still playing? How's that going?

Best wishes.
