Long time

Hello all my faithful readers. And I use "faithful" quite loosely. It's been a long time. I've been fairly busy but mostly I've just been lazy and not wanting to post. I beg for your forgiveness.

So a quick update since my last post. We had the annual all volunteer meeting here in my neck of the woods (the Kombos) where every volunteer (~100) flooded in for a very informative, necessary session. My birthday came and past. Woopee I'm 27. Work is going great and I'm keeping very busy with all kinds of nutritious projects including gathering and assessing data for our diabetes and hypertension clinics, collaborating with country health workers to compile a manual for a vitamin A supplementation program that will be used throughout the country and assisting with every possible computer-related scenario for the employees.

But enough about me. My two good friends (Adam and Lauren) have just arrived in Latin America, Honduras and Ecuador respectively, to do some teaching. Of course more importantly, upon my prompting, they will be searching for my future wife. They will be teaching for 1 year and when they're done I'll still be hanging around the Gambia (LW.)

Hope everyone is well. Steph, tell Cameron congratulations on his recent tooth loss! I now have one super high resolution, close-up picture of my little buddy looking like a true hockey player. Love it.

Until next time.

i saw some video of africa GOIN' OFF the other day. 20-30'+ waves? Little tiny guys were towing into them. (You may find some info here at zigzag surf mag.-
http://www.zigzag.co.za/site/default.asp)

This was more to the south so I wonder if you experienced it as well?

Talk about tooth loss-

"There were two teeth stuck into the bone. So they're going to send them away and see what kind of shark it was." (article from Zigzag)

Been really really flat here this week, but we are getting a dog tommorrow and there is a huricane down south (baja) halfway btwn us and Hawaii. Its small and going to blow out in the middle of the ocean but should push in some waves next week.

Sounds like you are doing some impact work there. That is really inspiring, nice to do work that will hopefully produce real results.

See you soon ~Matt
